The Membership Committee is focused on the development of the Association's human resources by identifying and recommending strategies for meeting the needs of its members, effective use and development of active volunteer efforts, retention of members and leaders, and facilitating the membership-driven tradition that sets AMIA apart from other associations. The Committee works toward a long-term objective of developing a strong and deep volunteer base and effectively preparing volunteers to lead. It is crucial that this Committee has close ties to the Development Committee and Diversity, Advocacy and International Outreach Task Forces. To achieve these goals, the Membership Committee shall: Analyze current membership information gathering strategies; Review and make recommendations concerning communications with AMIA members and committees; Create membership outreach plan; and create external organization outreach plan.
