The Bylaws Review Task Force has been established by the Board of Directors as an ad hoc advisory committee in order to:
- Review AMIA’s bylaws for their effectiveness in defining rules of governance for AMIA’s evolving structure and membership;
- Present recommendations to the Board for any revisions deemed necessary; and
- Recommend a means for continuing systematic review of the bylaws to keep pace with future changes in the association.
The Task Force will seek input from the Board and the membership throughout its charge, and will work closely with the Strategic Plan Implementation Task Force where the recommendations of that group require changes in the bylaws.
