Charge of the Task Force

The purpose of the IOTF is:
- Connect AMIA with ongoing
activities in other international organizations that may intersect
with and/or enhance AMIA programs;
- Develop policies and programs that will enable AMIA to reach out to
moving image archivists throughout the world, with the specific objective
of extending AMIA's services to such archivists in developing countries;
- Promote AMIA's programs and services to the world community of moving
image archivists; and to extend those services, such as workshops,
by organizing activities outside continental North America; and
- Encourage global professional awareness and knowledge within the AMIA
membership, along with soundly based volunteerism and other forms of
mutual support.
The immediate objective of the IOTF is to:
Considering the current landscape of the international moving image
archival field, create a report to the Board with specific recommendations
regarding:
- International member service
needs;
- Development opportunities;
- Events and programs (for example, workshops, presentations at conferences
or festivals)
- High priority topics
- Strategic locations
- Budgets
