Though it marked the fledging early days of the medium, silent cinema was not without its ambitious filmmakers and massive epics, it’s just that time hasn’t always been kind to them, with many works from period lost forever.

AMIA is offering 11 travel grants for this year’s conference in Pittsburgh, PA – November 9-12, 2016. 

The first grant is sponsored by the San Francisco Silent Film Festival – allowing the recipient an opportunity to also attend the Festival in 2017.  Nine are sponsored by your contributions to the AMIA Community Fund.  Your donations and matching funds from AMIA increased this year’s grants from four in 2015 to 10 in 2016!
