Moulin Rouge Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas 1955
Hello, I am researching for a documentary and searching for any footage from the Moulin Rouge Casino and Hotel which was open in Las Vegas in 1955. The casino was the first racially integrated casino in Las Vegas and was very popular, but was only open for 6 months in 1955 and then opened several times in the following decades before finally being demolished last summer. We are looking for any footage in any format (even if it's old VHS transfers of film) from the casino. We have located stills but any additional leads on stills would also be greatly appreciated. There was also a TV show "Talk of the Town" produced and starring the MC of the casino, Bob Bailey, which aired on Las Vegas CBS affiliate, KLAS Channel 8 in the 1950s. KLAS does not have any copies of the show, nor did they have a record of sending it anywhere else, but I listed it on the off chance it was preserved elsewhere. This is a long shot but I am grateful for the time and attention of you AMIA experts and look forward to hearing of any leads you might have. Warm Regards, Claire
