Forum rules

The main forum rules can be found here. In addition to these, we would ask you to keep in mind the following in using this board.

When posting job announcements, volunteering or internship opportunities in this sub-forum, we would be grateful if you could make sure that the following information is included, where applicable.

  • What sort of opportunity you are offering: paid work, volunteer work or internship(s);
  • The job title;
  • Name of the company or institution hiring;
  • A brief description of the role;
  • Essential and/or desirable qualifications and experience;
  • The location of the job;
  • An indicated salary range (if this is paid work);
  • Whether the job is full-time or part-time (and if part-time, the number of hours per week);
  • Whether the job is permanent or fixed-term (and if fixed term, the duration of the contract);
  • If this is volunteer work or an internship, whether or not expenses will be paid or course credit is available;
  • Any restrictions or conditions (e.g. immigration requirements);
  • The closing date for applications;
  • The form in which applications are required (letter and CV/resumé, download form etc.);
  • Who to send applications to and how.

For those seeking volunteering opportunities or internships, we would be grateful if you could address the following points in your posting:

  • An indication of the qualifications and experience you can offer;
  • What sort of opportunity you are looking for, and why;
  • The location of any opportunity you're looking for;
  • Whether you would need your expenses paid;
  • Whether you are looking for course credit for an internship;
  • Any relevant restrictions or issues (e.g. disability or immigration restrictions).

When responding to posts, please exercise common sense in deciding whether to do so publicly, on the forum, or in a private message. For example, if you have a query requesting information that might be relevant to others (e.g. 'Your posting doesn't state the location of the job - where is it?'), please post it publicly. However, if the issue is only relevant to you (e.g. 'I'd like to apply for this, but the start date is September and I'd have to work out my notice and start in November - is it still worth my applying?'), please put it in a private message.
